We use a wide range of environmentally certified papers and we are FSC/PEFC and ISO 9001 registered. Our ability to manufacture in our plant based in Trim and our on-site storage and distribution facility ensure we can offer shorter lead times and a more personalised service than many of our competitors. We are also proud that we can say our products are guaranteed Irish.
The gum found on our envelopes is water based and is biodegradable and environmentally friendly. This is the most common sealing method and always used for mailing envelopes. Only gummed wallets can be used for machine inserting and the envelopes are sealed automatically by the mailing machine.
To seal these envelopes it is necessary to moisten the layer of adhesive along the envelope flap and press down to close. Gummed envelopes should last for a number of years providing they are stored in the correct conditions.
A self-seal envelope is an envelope that closes and sticks without the need to moisten the glue. Our self-seal envelopes have two flaps, each with a strip of latex which, when pressed together form an instant bond.
Self-seal envelopes normally have a shelf-life of 12 months from the date of manufacture but this may be extended if they are stored in the right conditions.
Our peel and seal envelopes have a release tape on the flap which, when peeled away reveals a strip of pressure sensitive adhesive which forms an instant bond between the flap and reverse of the envelope when pressed together.contact us today
